debts are civil matters not criminal ones.what number comes up on your caller id?sounds like many scams that we see here.did the person sound foreign?there was no fraud and you won't be charged or arrested.just know that.file police reports for the calls.if they are located out of the country then file an FTC complaint.also don't talk to them again as they can't do anything if they have to threaten fraud which is illegal.

i have since found out, the company that called me is Noble Recovery which is owned by United Debt Holdings, and their web site looks legit. I am still confused as to whether i should pay the $50 they want to day to keep from further investigating me for fraud. I am considering a debt settlement, they say they can work with me, anyone familiar with Debt Relief?

no, they were not foreign, they were actually nice people, and because i was leary, they had me speak with the supervisor and they seems to know their stuff. They said the attempted to deliver something to my home but i have received nothing and do not want nothing showing up. I'm scared, and i have to know today whether to pay them, the company they bought from seems legit

you see.it's the fraud part.you can't be charged with fraud on this.they are nice because you haven't evoked your rights to validation.debts are civil matters.threatening that makes me leary.i will see about an address.i wouldn't pay until they validate the debt.

I agree with Paul...first thing I would do is to DV them...there is no fraud here and they can't come take you to jail...relax and think with a clear head.
You will find that it is the illegal PDL's that put up the biggest fight!!
