I recieved a letter from allied interstate about a "AT&T" bill for $177.58. I've never had AT&T for anything. My Identity was stoles about 18 years ago, and they are still using my info.

So, how do i go about disputing this bill? I am on disability, so I really need this removed ASAP. Thank You, for your time.

Hi dumblnddzzy

You should immediately file a complaint with the local sheriff where this crime is taking place. Show them proof of your name, address, SSN# and other details that will prove your identity. You will get an affidavit from them. Send it to the fraud department of the three credit bureaus. They will immediately share the information relating to your credit file. If any criminal activity takes place in your account further, it will be monitored and steps will be taken to stop it altogether.

Show all the proof of your name, address, SSN# to the creditors also. Explain them about your stolen identity and clear the fact that the account with them has never been used by you. They will hopefully resolve this matter.

Once the credit bureaus have gathered proof of these fraudulent activities in your file, they will update it and send you a free copy within 30 days from the date you filed your case. Do keep us updated on this matter.
