Why Has Your Debt Management Program Failed?

When my husband and I first signed up for a management program we were desperate to get organized with our debt. Six months into the program however, while interest rates were stabilized at a 9% rate, late fees were tacked on while the program caught up with the management's scheduled payment date.

I didn't see any dents being made with the balances and felt that the cycle would never end even if someone else was "managing" it. We wanted to eliminate the debt as quickly as possible, not continue on for years and years.

We have unfortunately decided to go the settlement route.
