It just happened I'm not quite sure how - except that my husband lost his job right before crashing the car; my sister went through a horrible divorce and needed money for a lawyer, my brother run into some financial problems of his own and needed "a little help" paying his mortgage, all the while I'm giving out my cash to my family, I'm using my credit cards to meet my own needs, then depression set in....Now I'm facing 50 scare I too might lose my job, trying to pay off everything and I can't sleep at night...

Its really sad to hear that your family has gone through such bad times. If you cannot pay off the credit card debt in full, just contact your creditor and try to settle the debt for less and get out of the debt asap. Most creditors agree to settle for 40 to 60% of the outstanding amount.
