I think it is a call from Jason Reed & Associates, a collection agency. You need not worry because in order to start the process of debt collection, they need to send you a DV notice within 5 days of initial communications as per the rules of FDCPA. If they harass you further, you may file a complaint against the phone number with the FTC.

They are a terrible company. There are a lot of complaints online about harassment calls, etc. See:
"http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-954-358-4084" for example. If you Google the number you will find a lot more.
Hmmmm... This is pretty odd.... All these 800 complaint boards say "Jason Reed & Assoc" but I cannot find them anywhere else (except BBB)! Even in ZoomInfo (I specified all Jason Reeds in Florida):
"http://www.zoominfo.com/search/PersonQuery.aspx?singleSearchBox=reed%2C+jason&searchSource=basic_left&personName=reed%2C+jason&personTitle=&companyName=&companyDesc=&location=florida"
If you take out the Florida, you get 207 Jason (well, that includes Jay) Reeds. I found a Jay Reed at Platinum Recovery Services in Omaha, Nebraska but that is the only debt collector on the list. And then I found ONE mention of them on Bud Hibb's site. That post mentioned a "middle east" accent.
The BBB shows: Listed on the BBB only since April 2009! Obviously he is looking forward to being sued immediately!! (But the phone number is completely different.) It says: "This company first came to our attention in April 2009. We are attempting to develop more information on the company. At the present time we do not have enough information to issue a full report." Indeed.
There is no information on them in the Florida Business license database. The only Jason Reed (private person) mentioned there is a general contractor applying for a license.
So, I would safely say that this company is a SCAM, and that it is a spoof number and the name "Jason Reed" is a pseudonym. File a complaint with the FCC, the FTC, and your state Attorney General. If you (or anyone else reading this) gave any personal info to this scam, file a police report for possible identity theft *immediately*. And in the unlikely event that they are not a scam, this person probably needs a high school education before he opens a collection agency, since the FDCPA is really very simple!
