i just called my courthouse and found out a summons for a cc debt in sol in ohio is in the process of being printed at my local court...
*here's the deal-i'm 99% certain it is my debt-but i am not certain the ca that are sueing are the ones who should be paid due to others still calling me for the debt*

can anyone please walk me through the court procedures or point me in the right direction to find it on my own? i would greatly appreciate it! thanks...

clerk of courts said the summons will be mailed today and i should get it within a day or so...help!!!!!

They are mailing the summons? That is the first odd thing to deal with.

Can you explain something. Is the Atty that will be pressing suit the one calling you or is there someone else?

First things first, if you do receive a summons do respond to it. Second thing, launch a discovery against the plaintiff asking for all documentation of which you signed or any legal contracts they have stating you owe this debt. Third, do a google search for beating up on debt collectors. It's a free e-book that can help in certain situations.

Don't worry just yet buddy, you still have a great chance of walking away from this perfectly fine.

yeah here in my state the court will mail a summons to you attached with the attorney complaint..yes the collection agency is calling me about 3x in last two weeks just to let me know that is the account is going to legal..nothing excessive..but when i talked with the collection agency involved they said an inhouse attorney filed the paperwork...i then called the court and yes it legit and will be happening...

i know i should respond but i do not know the technical steps to take in court-i have never been in a court room ever! where should i look for this info? any ideas? where can i find the free ebook?
