Citi sold my debt to H&H law firm/collection agency. Now what?

I just found out that my citcard debt of around $7500, was sold to a local firm called Hunt & Henriquez. They called and left a message wanting to verify that it was my number.
Has anyone dealt with H&H or had similar circumstances?
I'm hoping to settle for 40% or so as I am currently negotiating with Chase in this range. I had no idea they would sell the debt off to a law firm so soon.
How should I proceed with H&H from this point? I have not talked to them yet.
I figured I'd call them and tell them my situation and that I am currently negotiating with others and trying to get a loan to make a settlement and if they can work with me I might be able to settle with them. I don't know if they are taking me to court right away or just trying to collect first. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.
