Possibly this is a dumb question, however... every once and a while I get offers to take out credit cards, "no questions asked, poor credit ok," etc. etc. And when you read the fine print, there's ALL kinds of strings attached, such as a large membership fee, a very small line of credit, and so on. I'm not planning on "taking advantage" of these offers, but I was wondering... do any of the PDL's operate with or are they somehow connected with the "no questions asked" credit card companies? Do they share information? I guess now that I'm finallly getting free of the PDLs, I'm a bit paranoid about any offers of money or credit.

Contrary to what the guest stated, you already know that a large number of PDL companies are legal, it is just that the illegal ones get all of the press and posts here on this forum. As for CC's, I am not aware of any "true" credit cards backed by PDL companies. Now there are some prepaid/debit CC's offered by various PDL's, but they would be licensed lenders for the most part.

I am not going to argue about this. I was just clarifying that a large majority of PDL companies are legal. Unfortunately, since they abide by the laws and regulations of thier state you "never" hear about them. The few that operate unlicensed, under multiple names generate a large majority of the complaints.

Back on topic, has anyone heard of any PDL backed credit cards?

Its a lot more than a few. We on this site have had problems that have all but destroyed us. I find it horrible that someone would say that the majority of PDL's are legal. We fight everyday to stay afloat and then someone who claims to own pdl's tells us the the majority are legal. I dont know!!!!
Then a snippy answer from a mod. Almost an admonishment for questioning a pdl owner. That is scary.
I fight for myself and my family everyday and now I am scared

PDLOwner, I'm willing to bet that most of us are NOT on these forums because we're delighted with PDL's. I didn't ask if PDLs' were legal or not, I was just wondering if any PDLs' were in any way connected with credit cards. Guest, thanks for the point that most of the credit card out there are backed by banks. Although with some of the ambiguous names of the credit card companies, it's a bit difficult to figure out if they ARE affiliated with a bank. :)

PDL Owner
Please stop trying to stir up trouble and arguments. We are on here for a reason, not to listen to you tell us about how pdls are legal. Really, people like you added to our troubles. Yes it was our fault we did so called business with you, but people like you feed off of people like us.
Please leave us alone

no,but i'm guessing that you have a blind hatred for all that is a pdl.here are some facts.

1)storefronts are legal, and offer ways to payoff if the consumer can't.
2)owner has come on and railed against the internert pdl's for there illegalities and tactics.
3)owner has also given info to help even with things like EPP'S with storefronts.
4)as a MOD i am fair with everyone.if owner were to step out of line i would admonish him too.
5)this is locked as a couple of guests with an axe to grind can take it elsewhere.
