I entered into a DMP with a CCCS (legitimate one) once the collections, etc... became too much to handle. One of them was for a large loan I had just defaulted on (9k). I entered the plan just as I got the first letter from that attorney. I faxed them a letter informing them what I was doing. Payment was made to CCCS and wait for approvals. The attorney rejected the proposal and CCCS said there was no reason stated and that I should call them. I had been playing phone tag for a week or so with the attorney. I left another message.

I decided to see if maybe they accelerated it to court. They had. I noticed it was filed 5-11-09, the letter I sent them was on the 4th. Payments were disbursed in the following weeks. case.net show a summons was issued 6-2-09. Haven't seen anything yet, but it's only been two day. Court date was set for 07-02-09.

Finally spoke with attorney staff who stated that since I was working with another party, he could only discuss it with them, but did tell me it was rejected because it wasn't sufficient and a counter offer was made. He wouldn't tell me how much, but said he would be happy to speak with my rep at the CCCS to get this resolved. I didn't bring up to him what I found on case.net since it seemed he wasn't being completely honest with me. He vaguely mentioned that the counter offer had something to do with the delinquent amount.

I will wait for the summons (does it come via mail or will I be served), as well as wait to see what my CCCS rep finds out. In the mean time does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
