does any one have an idea how long I can expect JB to report on my files without buying anything?
They approved a 1800$ credit line but the cheapest thing is a 100 in their catalog. If I have to buy something, how often do I need to do this?

Credit score depends on your credit history and so you need to build up a good history by making regular purchases and repaying them back on time. The best way to build up your credit is to use credit cards to make purchases and repay it back within the due date.

I've had my JBR account since 02/08 and haven't purchased anything but also have a Kays and Jared account (All Sterling Jewelers accounts). My Kays has a balance but haven't used Jared either. No reduction in credit limits or closing of accounts.
