Ok here's the deal. I have been making payments to a collection agency in the amount of $20.00 per month, and they have been accepting them. After 5 months I get a letter from them with the same address but different company name wanting payment in full. So, I sent a validation of debt letter. I did get a response that they have the collections on hold until further notice.
So my question is....do I still send my payment to them or hold off? I know it seems like a dumb question but I am lost, because I have never had to deal with this before

Former name was
PELLETTIERI & ASSOC.-TRUST
DEPT. 77304 PO BOX 77000
DETROIT MI. 48277-0304
they changed their name to Meri-Med

Yes, I checked the BBB site and found that Pellettieri & Associates, have changed their name to MiraMed. Since they have kept the collections on hold, you need to wait for them to ask you for the payments again. Don't send them any payments now and wait for their response. However, you should keep the "payment hold" letter with you for your future reference.
