Hi All,

I am rather overwhelmed by the process of cleaning up my credit so I was hoping that maybe someone out there can lend some advice.

I have a few items that I am not clear on. 3 are all HSBC -
2 of them have the same account # ( one says HSBC Bank and the other HSBC Orchard) Neither of those 2 show a limit. One that is a different acct # shows a limit and says below that the acct was transferred to another lender or office. I dont see any addresses or contacts - how would I get this?
Also, is that legal to count it 2X on my report if it is really one debt?
Any info you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much.

If you have only one credit card with HSBC, you should dispute the second listing with the bureaus. A single account cannot be reported more than once by the same creditor in your report (it can however be reported to the bureaus both by the OC and the CA). If your third account has been transferred to a collection agency, but the name of the CA is not reflected in your CR, you should contact the bureaus and ask for the information.
