If a collection agency has already taken you to court and you later fnd out that they collected on a debt they had no right to do. What can I do at this point???

I'm suspecting that you found out they took you to court on a debt that was either:

    Not your debt
    Out of the SOL

If it was legally not your debt, you can fight it, but you will need to consult a lawyer to make sure it gets done properly.

If it was past the SOL and the company took you to court for it, chances are good that they did it just before the SOL ran out, or they got you to agree to make payments on it - thereby restarting the SOL clock. In that case, you're back to square one and need to pay the debt, or it will remain on your credit for several years.
