Has anyone used this company or know anything about them that they can share.

Hello! I actually am with Pacific Debt right now and I can't even tell you how great they are! I was very veryyy nervous about doing a debt settlement, I could hardly sleep at night nervous, and researched companies like crazy before I signed with this one. The guy who I spoke with at first seemed like a stright shooter and I signed up b/c I felt like I could trust him. He told me that my 3 credit cards could be settled in 39 months (that was the latest date) - and right now, 2 of my accounts already have settlement agreements in place!! I am so happy it's unbelievable and they have been there for me every step of the way. I took my Discover out of the program (Discover I guess may not play well with settlement companies), but it was my smallest balance and I worked it out with Discover. But this company is awesome. I would give them a call if settlement is what you've decided on doing....good luck!

I also am considering them. Talked with the guy for 45 minutes or so and recieved written proposal that makes sence....good BBB rating, just doing the research now -- any new experiences with them or suggestions for good debt negotation/settlement companies appreciated.

Debt settlement " do it your self or hiring a company " does work if you are a good candidate. You just have to stay committed to saving your money to be used to settle and set an aggressive enough program to resolve the debts fast enough to avoid lawsuit from an impatient creditor. Its certainly not a fun process thats easy because of the seriously annoying phone calls from collectors but if you are patient and allow the process to work you will most often get good results.

Linda, I checked out Pacific Debt Inc. at my state Department of Commerce as I have contacted them regarding my debt. If you go to the your state Department of Commerce site there should be a Consumer Protection section that has a "Search Registered Entities" section. Just put their name in and if they are registered it will come up. The person I spoke to was very straight forward about things and would not let me off the phone until he disclosed the fees they charge. Hopefully that will help.

Sandra

Just an FYI folks, Most Canadian creditors do not recognize pacific debt solutions as a legit company, because they are not licenced or bonding in canada or individual provinces to do what they are attempting to do. to date I have heard many horror stories about people giving these crooks money and never seeing any results. Most peoplea re being sued because PDS won't do the job the claim they will. BE WARE!!! Canadians with debt issues should seek accreditted counselling services such as National Credit Counselling society or 4 pillars ect. ALWAYS CHECK TO SEE IF THESE COMPANIES ARE LICENCED AND BONDED. There may also be foreign currency laws being broken because PDS is a US company.
