i just finished talking to one of their agent and printed the contract w/c i gave them all my information: name, add, social security, tel drivers lisence then found out from this forum that the company was a ripoff, how do i protect my identity now since i gave them a lot of info?

I didn't look for information like this before signing up with Freedom Financial Management and have paid them one months installment. Last week it was stated that one of my creditors seemed reluctant to deal with them. I haven't checked on this yet -I don't want to be sued. From the previous foum info I got that I should be at Red Alert and I was actually thinking that I should recommend them to a friend.

I have paid six months and still have letters, phone calls about Freedom Financial not doing anything. I don't want to have wages garnished, go to court and other things. How do I stop payment and deal with my credit card companies on my own. This company is a rip-off. It shouldn't take six months to settle a debt. I need a quick response.

Don't give them your money. they do absolutely nothing for you. FFM is a scam. contact ryan alexander, if he's still with the company. he blogged that a refund is possible. don't know how good his word is at this point.

I have been with them since 12/2008. To date, I have paid them almost 7,000 dollars. So what have they done for me you ask? Some basic letters to my creditors, a welcome packet with a so called attorney going by the name Richard A. Lenard and a phone number 714-361-4335. this phone number does not exist!!!! no wonder one of my creditors is now taking me to court! When you first sign up they are all over you to help, once they have your money, you cannot find them or get them to call you. I want a full refund. Are you out there Ryan Alexander? I have left messages for you , you do not call.

This guy from Freedom Financial Management has been calling me like 5 times a day! I gave them my info, a copy of my license and a cancelled check. But , because of the postings here, Im not going any further. DO I ALSO NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO PROTECT MYSELF FROM THEM?

Make sure you contact your bank to let them know that you have not authorized any money to be withdrawn by this company. If you've already made those arrangements, you'll need to make a "stop payment" which usually requires a signature from the bank account holder and carries a fee (usually about $25 - same as to stop a check).

I am not only a loan officer but, I also do debt consolidation and I am not trying to toot my own flute but, the I work with is great (the lawyer, she's wonderful). We offer a minimum 50% settlement guarantee or the company pays the defference.
My best advice is although it is hard to find a good debt settlement co. try to find one from word of mouth.

My grandpa was taken bad by these folks. They lied to him and now they have over $1,500 of his money and his information. Turn these crooks in to the Attorney General or District Attorney in your area. They need to go straight to jail. The only way to stop a theif is if the victim reports the crime. We need to shut down these guys and anyone like them. Money is too hard to come by. Crooks need to go to jail so we God fearin folks like my grandpa can be safe.

I also gave them lots of personal information regarding credit cards, social security number, and let them review my credit report. I was about to sign an agreement with them today. I have to thank all of you for sharing your comments and feedback. Sorry about some of you that are is a worst situation now. In situations like this people should be more respectful and not take advantage...enough pain we have trying to find out how to get out of this. Do you know if: New Beginning Debt Solutions is the same?

just for the record most settlements dont even start at 6 months if it does your a lucky duck. usually the settlement process is around 8 months to a year for negotiations to get finallized.

My suggestion is if you dont want to end up in court know the facts about settlement so you are better prepared before signing up with a company.

How is it that you quote that "we offer minimum 50% settlements".....you and your company are as big a ripoff and any shady company....no settlement company has any sway whatsoever on what settlement a creditor/collection agency will offer. So if the collection agency or lawfirm etc doesn't offer under 50% what do you do then? You ignore the bill and let your client get sued. I've been in law for 4 years and have helped people sue 10 companies like the one your touting. Several have been permanently closed.

PEOPLE YOU DON'T NEED A SETTLEMENT COMPANY. THESE PLACES THAT COLLECT ON BILLS OFFER SETTLEMENTS WITH OR WITHOUT FAKE SETTLEMENT COMPANIES IN THE MIDDLE. BANKS ARE FIGHTING TO CLOSE THEM AND YOU CAN NOW GET LOWER!!!! SETTLEMENTS IF YOU ARE NOT! WITH THESE COMPANIES.....WAKE UP! These are as bad as those 419 scammers from Nigeria,

I enrolled with this company in May 2009, so far I have paid them 2,266 to negotiate my debt. On January 14,2009 I was served with court papers. I am being sued by one of my creditors. I call my rep and he told me I needed to handle the court situation on my own. FFM is a rip off they are not going to settle nobody's debt, they are just taking our money. I called my bank and stop them from taking further payments and sent them a letter requesting all my funds back.

i have been in their program since june 2009, and they have only settled one of my accounts and recieved a letter from their attorney of the paid account for less money than what i originally was being charged but i have found out the rest of the money they have drafted out of my bank account monthly has been taken by FFM for retainers fee a total of 700.00 and now they say that if i cancell their services they will not refund me that money and then i have to deal with the rest of my creditors but if i stay in program i and want immediate refief of debtors i should deposit 2,000 so they have money to negotiate with and pay off those that settle. I don't know what to do ? should i cancell and loose that retainer fee and take care of debtors myself now and pay them off slowly again and greater amouts with interest accumulated already or continue this program? please help and give me suggestions of how to handle matter.
