You cannot remove the charge off listing from your credit report
You cannot remove the charge off listing from your credit report before seven years and 180 days from the date of your delinquency even if you pay it off in full. It is very difficult to get a loan if you have a credit score below 600, because it is considered a bad score. I think you should try to build up your credit history and increase your score first and then apply for a new line of credit.
While you cant remove the charge offs, it will raise your credit
While you cant remove the charge offs, it will raise your credit score to pay off all your debt, thus lowering your debt to credit ratio. At times like this, there is ery little chance of anybody with a less then stellar FICO score to get a consolidaton loan and if anyone does want ot give you one, you will probably have a ridiculous interest rate and end up paying more money for the loan than for the cc.If you are looking for help consolidating or settling, try town and country acceptance in birmingham, al. I have 30000 in debt (secured and unsecured)and they are helping me take care of it and it is slowly raising my score. I will be debt free in 32 months! While its not a loan, you do have the choice of making weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments to them and they lower your rates, get rid of interest fees and help pay them off much faster. good luck and hope this helps.
pay off credit cards
I have 20,000 in credit card debt that has accumulated just in the last 2 years. I need to pay this off...I was in a bad situation. My credit score is 630...I don't want to join a loan consolidation company that will make my credit bad. My husband doesn't know what is going on
