I had this company call me today at work, and they said that they are "downloading" some sort of court order against me, for a PDL I had with Payday Loan Yes.
I looked up that name, and can't find anything on the internet. I also looked up the number he gave me: 360-205-0092 and all that comes up in the google search is stories like mine and people saying it's fraudulent.
The funny thing is, I tried to pay off the PDL last year (and kept all of my email communication with them, just in case!). I had a $350 loan, I paid 3 payments of $105 each before I revoked their ability to debit my bank account and closed my Sovereign bank account. As far as I was concerned, I owed them $35 to pay off the rest of the loan. They believed that I owed them $620, for which I could never get an answer as to how that was calculated. I live in MA, where PDLs are illegal, so I kept citing my state laws to them and said I'd be more than happy to pay the balance off of the loan itself, but nothing except threats.
Has anyone else had a call from this "company"?
