Chap. 13 Meeting Of Creditors

I have my Meeting Of Creditors meeting on the 23rd. I am nervous about the payday loan companies ( storefront ) attending. Has anyone ever had them to attend & object to the bankruptcy?


I do not have any secured creditors...our house & cars are all in my husband's name due to my low credit score....the balances are from small installment loans secured by household items & payday loans. Since they are local, I am wondering if they will show up. They got quite nasty on the phone & retained attorney's while i was getting my bankruptcy togher to file.

I just came from a meeting with my attorney....several of them have filed claims but he does not expect them to show. He stated that he has dealt with them all before with other cases. He was saying they like to act tough when only the debtor is around & will not say anything in front of an attorney.
