I am working all the time

Although I'm not married with any kids yet I can slightly relate. I'm working two jobs and trying to get my Masters online. I know it will increase my earnings by far but I'm struggling in the mean time. What types of things are you struggling with as far as bills? Or is it other things?

My mortgage is behind all the other bills well they are also real behind. It was fine for awhile but then boom everything went up and my hours went down with my one job SOOOO like most everybody else out there I took another job and was ok and getting caught up but struggling still. Then my husband lost the lease on the building he had for 11 years. We were in the process of building a building on the property when this happened. So there goes those funds and building was not done. He is just now since 2004 starting to slowly work in the garage again slightly. He is not all the way open because now we have to find the money for $1000 worth of electric. this is the electric companys coat for them to run lines from the transformer to the building. Then again the other job was not giving me the hours. Ugg. 2 jobs and i cant get at least 40 hours a week. well I think this is pathetic. So I went back to school in february, filed unemployment(what they call partial since my hours got cut) and it was not my fault and just carry on. Everybody thinks their bills are more important than the others. So when so you get to say enoughs enough and I cant do this any more!!

[font=Arial][/font][color=DarkBlue][/color]I can understand where you are. I am 31, married for 11 years to my wonderful dh and we have four kids-ages 11,6,4 and 3. I work full time and a full time student in the health care profession. Are you an LVN or an RN? The reason I ask is that my really good friend is a RN and makes really good money working agency on the side-about $50/hr. She said that if the company offered the health insurance that her full time job has, she would work more for them. She has recently changed her hours at her full time job to work 32 hours (still keeping benifits) so she can do more agency work. By picking up two extra shifts a pay period she has made an extra $1000 every two weeks.

We too are beginning the what seems to be never ending cycle of trying to get our heads above water...it is a cycle, but with the information I have learned here, I feel like I have been given a snorkle or maybe even a scuba tank and there is some oxygen coming in-even if my head still bobs up and down under the surface.

i am single but understand what it is like to make ends meet.. i know this is an old thread but if you are still around i hope things are looking up for you.
