Hello,

I placed a stop payment on 6 of my payday loans. I haven't heard anything at all from 2 of them (OneClickCash and Zip19), and I have heard only once from Eastside Lenders. When I disputed the amount Eastside was willing to settle for, there was no reply on their side. My question is -- have other people successfully negotiated settlements with these companies? If so, did you reach out to them or did they reach out to you? Did they try to re-debit your account at any point? I have been able to reach a settlement agreement with the other 3 companies.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You will find that a stop payment will not work. That is probably why you have not heard from them. These pdls have a million different names and will just go into your account using another name or another amount.
The only way to stop them is to close the account or put a hard debit block on the account.
Sorry to say, but your money is not safe from them

Thanks for these notes. My bank is Bank of America, and they told me that even if I were to close the account, the debits would force it open, so it doesn't seem like closing the account is guaranteed either. And they told me they couldn't do a hard block. Except for the stop payments, all I could do was have the payments go through and then go through the dispute process with the bank, which would take at least 10 business days. I have worked out settlements with companies in the past, and they have been honored (including OneClickCash), but the companies have always reached out to me after the payment was returned. Any specific experience with Zip 19, OneClickCash, or Eastside Lenders would be much appreciated.
