I just got off the phone with discover, thhttp://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/posting.php?mode=editpost&p=506975e first person I talked with was nice and I told her I couldn't pay anything and she put me on with a hardship expert, wow. She said I didn't do anything toward paying my debt and I was refusing to pay. It was so hard for me to sit there and take her crap, but I did and told her I was unable to pay at this time. She wanted $200 to keep the account updated, it has been about 4 months since my last payment.


I am up to date with my Discover card, BUT they sneakily changed the billing date from the 10th to the 6th of the month, then when I pay after the 6th before the 10th, they add a late fee, and jack up all rates to 29.99%. So examine those payment due dates.
I managed to get them to put the old rates back but I'll never charge anything to them again.
