one is with payday one opened 12/19/08 the loan amount was for $1,000, I have paid $1376.16 to date and STILL owe $800.00 to pay off the loan
the second is paragon funding opened 04/09 the loan amount was $300.00, I have paid $450.00 to date and STILL owe the $300.00 to pay off the loan
the third is with United Cash Loans for $300.00 and we have not made a payment yet on the account which is due this friday.
I also wanted to ask if United Cash Loans was licensed in the state of Texas for PDL's and what trouble do I run the risk of getting into if I do not pay the comapanies.

Payday One is licensed to lend to Texas residents, request an EPP (extended Payment Plan) with them. United Cash Loan is NOT a licensed lender in the state of Texas. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders. I am unsure of Paragon, but if you type "Paragon Funding" into the search box located in the upper right hand corner of this forum you can research them to see if they are legal lenders for your state.

Isn't there some kind of cap on finance charges in Texas, because at this point I have paid back the loan plus $376.16, isn't that enough? Also, I cannot find any links that successfully give me information regarding Paragon Funding and if they are licensed in Texas. Any help would be appreciated.

I wasn't logged in before...I sent all three a cease and desist letter certified with return receipt. I have also sent United cash a letter that I found on this site informing them of being illegal in Texas.

I keep finding new info on this site and I am curious:
if the laws of Texas say the Maximum Number of Outstanding Loans at One Time: Not Specified ($500 aggregate loans outstanding to all licensees)
does that mean that PAyday one cannot loan $1000?
