I am in Payday loan hell. I have 7 outstanding payday loans, most of which I have paid at least double the amount of the total loan amount in fees and I still owe the amount of the loan - Uggh!

I have been reading the forums, and I must say it has give me some hope for getting myself out of this payday loan situation. I am wondering if anyone from NY has any success stories for dealing with payday loans companies? Has anyone had success getting a refund of the amount you paid over the principle loan? Any information would be helpful - thank you!

i have had success in repaying some of my illegal pdl's. I original had 11 illegal pdls. I have paid in full from 6 of them. i have sent debt validation to 4 of the collection agencies awaiting a response. It appears that the ones that were located overseas (CMG, sandpoint, Lazer lending, midland financial ) are proving to be the most difficult to deal with but we will see. The only one i have not heard from is best cash advance. i have taken out 3 loans with them and after calculating what i have paid them i have overpaid them by 1500 dollars. I told them that i would repay my original loan of 500 dollars but i wanted a refund of my 1500 and they have not replied. So we will see what happens next. But there is some measure of success. Just follow all the advice you get in this forum and you will see results.

I just wanted to update everyone with my experience as I sent out my letters to the PAYDAY LOAN companies, revoking my authorization for them to debit my bank account and demanding refund for all that I have overpaid:

I called PAYDAYMAX today and they quickly replied that my balance is $0.00 and I can go to the website and log-in and see that my loan is considered PAID IN FULL!! Now, I only paid about $25 over the principle thus far to them, and I decided since it's such a small amount I am going to just leave it - since I already have my PIF status! I just faxed the letter this morning and got this result within a few hours. They must really know that they have no leg to stand on!

Something tells me that the rest of them are not going to be this easy though....

Anyone have any experiences with the following:

-IN MY ACCOUNT
-CASH BANC
-AMERILOAN
-EZPAYDAYCASH (UC FINANCIAL)
