I recieved a payday loan from Panam Financial. At the time I also had other payday loans. I do not remember signing anything from this company but to my surprize the money was deposited.I would now like to pay them off to stop the $140 every 2 weeks from automatically being taken from my checking account but cannot find a number, website or anything. My account statement doesnt give me a clue.I live in Maryland. Can anyone help me solve this expensive puzzle?

PDL's are illegal in Maryland. Click the link below to read your pdl laws.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

Hello, I'm not sure if you've gotten anywhere with PanAM but you can call your bank and dsipute the charges and they will conduct their own investigation on your behalf and potentially get your money refunded. Also you can asked that they place a stop check hold on the future debit...your bank my charge you a fee to do so but it will be cheaper than then the $140 they are taking.

Good Luck
