Hello,
I have a Chase CC with a balance of around 11,000. I am roughly 40 days past due on it. I want to talk with them and ask if I could qualify for the BLP. I owe around $600 to bring it current but with having a break from work for at least another week(due to the economy)..I won't be able to bring it current until later this month. Would they still approve me even if I cannot bring my account current?

You can call the hardship line for Chase at 800-404-6220 -- I also owe 18k in debt to Chase they have offered to close the card and a loan at 2% -- I to am wondering if I stop paying will they neg a settlement with me ?....I have other cc debt and am in over my head...currently barely hanging on...

Well I called them yesterday and was told I didnt make enuff to join their program. They then tried to refer me to a consumer credit program. So now I save for a settelment instead.

My husband and I have three Chase cards. diff cards have been bought by Chase. My two were out of control and we were behind on all our bills. I considered Debt consolidation, which i didn't hear the greatest things about. I called Chase as a last stitch effort and they said I was qualified for BLP for both. There are super helpful and I suggest it to anyone that is having a hard time. Keep an open convo with all your debts be honest they are more willing to help.... Good luck to all Money Sucks

Chase denied me for Balance Liquidation Progam - the person who was helping thought I had a good chance, then his Supervisor said no. I can't believe they won't take my money. I have 2 cards with them and am willing to pay $350.00 on a program and they would rather deny me. I think that is totally wrong. What should I do? One total combined is $17k.

The reason may be because these are government programs and if you don't have enough debt to income left over, or are upside down, they cannot give you that program. It really is in your best interest instead of being on a program you can't afford and continue borrowing from peter to pay paul.
