Fighting Wage Garnishment

I tried contacting the attorney today and the lady I spoke with was rude basically saying I missed payments so there was nothing they could do.
This is a garnishment from a medical bill. I have more surgery coming up and I can't afford this! I was going to sent a certified letter to this attorney again asking for a settlement instead of garnishment. And then go to court.
I don't want to file medical bankruptcy, because then I'm scared my doctors won't see me. What should I do?

I had a garnishment lifted but it was because I wasn't served properly, therefore I filed a motion to vacate the judgment. I am not certain about your situation but I once owed a huge medical bill but I called the hospital and ask them if I could fill out an application for a hardship payment plan, they sent me the paperwork, I filled it out and do to the fact that I made very little money at the time they completely forgave my bill. talk directly to the doctor or hospital, they have the power to
talk directly to the doctor or hospital, they have the power to work with you and have the garnishment halted if you can work things out.
