You need to do a lot of research before you register with a good debt settlement company. I don't think Bay View Law Group is a good company as there are a lot of complaint against them. Before registering you should check whether the company has one or more of the following accreditation - BBB, TASC, IAPDA or USOBA. You may visit the link debt settlement companies to find a list of such companies.

Bay View Law Group? RUN!!!!
As my husband and I have been process servers and notary publics for about a decade (and I have worked directly with lawyers for 25 years), we were leery about a company that wanted us to say were their ???legal assistants??? when we did not know you from a hole in the wall. So I took some time to do homework???.my first red flag was on the RipOffReport site. Then I saw Bay View Law Group show up on a few other sites. Finally, we looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and read the following:

Our opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the company???s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law???s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company???s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.
[SIZE=3]Needless to say, there is NO way we are going to jeopardize our good standing and risk losing our licenses saying we work for them or know who are. [/SIZE]
They should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of people who have fallen upon hard times and are trying to find a responsible, reputable company to help them keep their heads above water, who in the long-run merely ties a cement block to their foot. A company like Bay View Law Group representing California clears up a huge question mark as to why this State is broke.
