I hung up with them and called the credit union immediately. I asked them "Just to be sure...have I EVER had any outside loans deposited into my savings account?" She said no, all your loans were thru the credit union and those have been paid off. I told her what happen and she said that it was a scam and to not pick up or give them ANY information. I said ok and thank you.

Do keep an eye on your account just in case these bozo's have somehow acquired your personal information! This is a HUGE scam, don't even give them the time of day when and if they call, hang up immediately.

I had something similar...it is a ll an attenpt to get you to verify information and to give them more info. They had the last 4 of my bankl account and my social. I talked to someone at the attorney general's office and he said that info is actually easy to get. These scammers will ask you for the rest of the numbers which is harder. If they call back just tell them you have reported them to the AG office. That is how I stopped my calls.

I had a voicemail from a guy claiming to be an officer and he had a very heavy thick accent. Told me he was from Federal Invesitgation Authority. He could barely pronounce the words. This call was from 683-726-0286..these people need to be stopped.

I agree, they should be stopped. However, if they're located in other countries (and I'm sure many of them are, in spite of the U.S. phone numbers), I don't know how any of our regulatory agencies would get to them. :(
