Anyone managed to settle directly with Capital One?

I am fast approaching charge off with Capital One. However, they are not easy to work with. It may have something to with the fact that I am located in Virginia, so they can easily sue me. I was just checking to see if anyone has tried to deal directly with them recently. If so, were they willing to settle for a decent percentage?

I've got a debt of around $3000 with Capital One. Of all the cc accounts I tried to negotiate, they were the most ridiculous. While the others offered to settle for around 30% of the original debt, Cap One's only offer was, if I came up with the approximately $800 needed to get the debt back down below my credit limit, they would "allow" me to pay off the debt while they charged me an interest rate of about 30%!!!
They'll never see a penny from me.
