I paid off Forster and Garbus..They have not entered Satisfaction Of judgement with my county Clerk office...What are the laws about this in New York?..PLEASE HELP!

when did you pay them? it actually takes a bit of time to mark

when did you pay them? it actually takes a bit of time to mark the j satisfied with the courts in ny. call F&G and make sure they send you a copy of the satisfaction notice.

In New York, they are compelled to fill it out.

"The Creditor must either file the Satisfaction of Judgment with the County Clerk, or provide it to the Debtor so that the Debtor may file it with the County Clerk."

THANK YOU! I THOUGHT THEY ONLY HAD 14 DAYS TO FILE..IT IS ALMOST 3 WEEKS! THEY ARE SO DECEITFUL..IM WORRIED THEY WONT! I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN! IF I RECIEVE A LETTER AOR A PAPER THAT LOOKS LIKE A JUDGEMENT FROM A COLLECTER..WHAT WOULD BE MY FIRST MOVE?...THANKS SO MUCH!
