Can anyone tell me if paymentdirectonline, usfastcash and biggestcash are illegal lenders? Tried to do a little research on them and can't come up with anything. Paymentdirectonline says it doesn't have a public website. Thanks in advance.

State of residence is Pennsylvania. Would they be licensed/legal anywhere?

With the unlicensed lenders, if I have paid them enough to cover the initial loan through ach debits do I owe them anything more? Is there anywhere I can find out about paymentdirect.com? They give out no address have no public website, so they don't sound kosher. I appreciate the help.

I called this company and spoke to someone named "Leonard". I offered a payment plan which I could probably do in 2-3 payments by a trackable method. Leonard refused to work with me and said the only way they could accept my payments was through a bank routing # and account # debiting until it was "paid off". Needless to say, I wasn't going to give them that. Any ideas how to proceeed?

Yep! new victim same old story! They are leechs and they all want your routing # and account #. Keeps you working on their terms and stressed all the time about the money being in your account for them to debit. Not to mention the NSF charges if its not there.

Tell them to work with you on a plan you can afford if they want paid.

Hello

I am new to the forum.... could anyone give me information on payday loans. I reside in New York and I have read that they are illegal........ I have sent letters out to the lenders and put a ACH block on my checking account. I have faxed over information to the attorney general (no response yet) and have spoken to a lawyer. Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Please see below:

Arrowhead- the loan was for $200.00 the total I would owe them if paid off was $260.00 as today I have paid them a total of $1125.00 (they have recently changed their name to lansingburg group)

Payment Direct- the loan was for$ 200.00 the total I would owe them if paid off was $289.00 as of today I have paid them a total of $801.00

Payday Online- The loan was for $300.00 the total I would owe them if paid off is $390.00 as of today I have paid them a total of $465.00 ( they are trying to make arrangements with me which will total a payment amount of $420.00 but actually I would be paying well over $500.00)

Upfront Money- The loan is for $300.00 the total I would owe them if paid off is $434.00 as of today I only paid $134.00 (this is a newer one) :P

Pay day loans are not legal in New York. All you are obligated to repay is the principle amount borrowed. All fees and interest go toward that balance.
Looks like all but that last one is paid. Please close your account so that they can not debit any more money. Read the above sticky regarding dealing with illegal lenders
