So I think that the PDLs are illegal and so you need to pay them only the principle amount borrowed. Do you have any kind of state financial regulatory agency? You might want to contact them and see what they say. As others have posted, if these PDLs are illegal in Florida (I think United Cash Loans is illegal just about everywhere), you should only have to pay principle amt. borrowed. That is, depending on how much you've paid them already, you may very well have OVER-paid them by this time. I know personally that United Cash is a real pain but if you hang in there and stick to your rights, trust me, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel!

i agree with pachacutec, if you over-paid, just relax.. they will give up eventually.

we haven't overpaid, we owe $35 on one and $110 on the other. That is principal balance only, but they are saying that what we have paid thus far is their rollover fees and that we have paid them nothing...

are these loans even legal? if they are not, than everything you have paid goes towards the principal.

They are definitely not legal. Just ignore them, the more you talk and argue with them on the phone, the more they will call. If you either don't answer their calls or hang up immediately they will tire of talking to thin air sooner than someone to argue back with. Personally, I wouldn't give them one dime more than they are entitled to, but that's just me.
