We are tired of this and going around in circles with United Cash and One Click. We are in Florida and I have posted other topics about my situation. We are seriously considering just settling so that this can be over. My husband and I are both stressed and don't know if this is worth it. I called the FTC tonight and got the same blah blah answer the FL Attorney Generals office said, that someone would be in touch. When? What advice can anyone offer?

Desperate in FL!!

I checked the website of Florida Office of Financial regulation, "https://real.flofr.com/ConsumerServices/SearchLicensingRecords/Search.aspx" and did not find their names. So I think that the PDLs are illegal and so you need to pay them only the principle amount borrowed. You may visit the link http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html to know how to deal with the illegal PDLs.

Do you have any kind of state financial regulatory agency? You might want to contact them and see what they say. As others have posted, if these PDLs are illegal in Florida (I think United Cash Loans is illegal just about everywhere), you should only have to pay principle amt. borrowed. That is, depending on how much you've paid them already, you may very well have OVER-paid them by this time. I know personally that United Cash is a real pain but if you hang in there and stick to your rights, trust me, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel!

They are definitely not legal. Just ignore them, the more you talk and argue with them on the phone, the more they will call. If you either don't answer their calls or hang up immediately they will tire of talking to thin air sooner than someone to argue back with. Personally, I wouldn't give them one dime more than they are entitled to, but that's just me.
