They try to convince you that although they are going to drag you to court in 24 hours, they really want to help you! BS

Are you sure they are in Buffalo and not India? There is a scam running around for about a year or so with jerks from India spoofing US phone numbers and running the same type of shakedown.

those india people have been bothering me too. they call me at 6am and call me at work. and all they say is "are you going to give me your attorney information? no? then all i can do is wish you good luck". but when i ask what debt is this in regards to they cant or wont tell me. i got a name out of them last time, they claim to be American Credit Services, funny name considering i highly doubt they are anywhere near america.

I would assume that is a scam (this is *not* how a legitimate company acts) and would file complaints with all and sundry, including calling my phone company and requesting the number be blocked.

Unfortunately, these scams are going to get more and more numerous so let's keep reminding people, if they ACT like a scam, assume that they ARE a scam and re-act to them accordingly.

If you read the article you will see they are running ads in Buffalo and the people who called are from the US!
