Hey everyone!

I have been posting under Ms. Melissa (guest). I decided to become a member and let everyone know my full story.

Here goes...

Back in December of last year I got into a horrible accident, I slipped and fell down two flights of stairs and broke my right ankle in 3 places. I subsequently missed 2 1/2 months of work and had to go thru two surgeries and 12 weeks of P/T. I came back to work in March of this year and a week later, my car broke down (only one family car). I had to get it fixed fast and it turned out that my transmission was shot and I had sensor problems, total cost to fix my car...$1800 in a two week period!!

This begins my PDL mess, in order to get my car fixed after I had lost so much time from work, I ended up taking out a total of 4 PDL's (over a six week period). Here's what it looks like:

Mypaydayloan.com - borrowed $600 - paid $631.25
Greenlight Funding - borrowed $250 - paid $355
Loanshop/Viking - borrowed $500 - paid $300
PaydayMax.com - borrowed $250 - paid $0

The last one is the one I took out and soon after realized that I CANNOT do this anymore, I have a family to feed and me being the sole provider, my children depend on me to feed them and keep a roof over their heads. PDL fees are RIDICULOUS!!

I live in CA and found out that all these internet PDL's are illegal (correct me if I'm wrong), under the advice of Shazzers  I went to my bank and had a hard block placed on my account and they re-opened me a new one, I was told that they would close the account when my DD comes through on Monday.

I have utilized the revocation letter template from this site and I will be sending them today (none of my PDL's will be delinquent until after Monday). I have also given spoke to and given copies of them to my HR manager and my Dept Manager

Am I missing anything? I really want to handle this situation myself and ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

Sorry this was so long!!

Sounds like your doing a great job! Make sure the letter you gave to your employer is a wage revokation letter. the hardest part for me was closing my bank acount and getting by until my new checks came in! I have'nt had much trouble in dealing with the illegal pdl. Just stay off the phone with them and they will eventually go away! Good Luck!

They will as resqme ententually go away but they will be followed up by collection agencies which can be difficult to deal with! You may want to prepare youself by reading this article! http://tinyurl.com/debtcall and also the link in my signature about payday lenders! Please do not click on the adsense there. I can't stop the pdls from advertising there without closing my Google account!
