cashdirect express

What state are you in? CashDirectExpress is supposedly part of GECC who is licensed-only there seems to be some debate over how legit the whole thing is-they do seem to have some illegal practices. According to CFSA cashdirectexpress cannot practice under the license of GECC they have to have thier own license-so who knows. I am dealing with these jokers myself. My collection letter came from alliance asset management who does not have a license to collect in my state. I am going to put a dv letter in the mail to them tomorrow and see what happens. That should be your next step as well. Never pay a collection agency without dv them first.

Alliance Asset Management collection agency is a nasty horrible collection agency.They are pushy and lie and called me at work harassing me over and over.They spoke to my co workers trying to leave messages.Make sure you put in your letter they may not contact you any way besides written mail.If they start yelling at you hang up or for real fun start harassing them back.I ended up writing a letter to the agency that accredits GECC because GECC is funding the cashdirectexpress loan.They forwarded my complaint to GECC/cashdirectexpress and they called me to withdraw my complaint and to settle for alot less the AAM wanted.Someone here will tell you the accrediting agency to write the letter to,put in the letter that you requested an extended payment plan from cashdirectexpress and that they refused to give you one.That violates the accrediting agencies policies.I will look for the name.I had 6 loans for about $2700 and they are all paid in full!!It can be done!!!!!!

Does anyone know the agency that accredits GECC because GECC is funding the cashdirectexpress loan, so I can file a complaint with them?

CFSA that is who I made my complaint to and they forwarded it to GECC who fund the loans for cashdirectexpress,they have to offer you an extended payment plan.

Thanks for the info on AAM. I sent the dv off so we'll see what happens. Yes I did include a c & d of further collections and also that they may only contact me thru USPS. Although they are not licensed in my state so I don't really excpect them to respect the c&d.

The first day they called me over 30 times but I never answered. After that it has slowly stopped. I have never answered the phone when they called so have never talked with them.

I have'nt dealt with too many CA over the years so it is a new process for me. The ones I have dealt with have been very reasonable-but I don't know about AAM. They did send me a dunning letter so I waited 3 1/2 weeks and then sent them a dv letter including a c&d of collections and to keep all communications written and thru USPS.

Well- they must have recieved my my dv letter because they are calling me again! What a joke. I am waiting now to see if I get anything back from them in the mail. Although so far my research is showing they are not licensed to collect in my state and they don't seem to be following the laws either.
