Urgent -Can you file for Bankruptcy after your car has been repo'd?

Please help.
If your car has been repossessed, can you then file for Bankruptcy, even if its a few weeks later? Can you include the amount the dealership loses in the auction, and all of the other fees associated with the repo?
Or does the car have to be repossessed after you file for bankruptcy?
I am in California.

The creditor can repossess you car even if you make a single missed payment as per the agreement. However, you can include the deficiency balance under bankruptcy.
