You may contact Mann Bracken and try to negotiate for a payment plan to pay off the debt. As far as I know, normally, these collection agencies agree to payment plans if you try to negotiate with them before they contact your employer to garnish your wages.

Good luck with Mann Bracken, they are one of the worst agencies in the country. Document everything, get it all in writing. Do not give them your bank info. Make sure you get an agreement for them to file a Satisfaction of Judgement after you have finished paying it, *before* you make the final payment.

Well I sent a letter to both Mann Bracken and Discover who still holds the debt offering a payment arrangment. I told them that I would make the first payment upon recieving a letter confirming the agreement. I am hoping that by documenting everything with the OC and the collector it shows good faith.
