Hi All,
I was lucky enough to stumble across this forum a few weeks ago. Great advice.
I currently have 5 pdl's in KY. 3 storefront,2 internet.
Quik Cash-500
Mr.Money- 460
Cash America Pawn- 460
Spotya- 235
MyCashNow- 473
I've gotten myself in over my head. I cannot close my bank account as was mentioned in previous threads. My partner has his social security deposited in it and I will not have time to move all this over before these loans are due. So here are my questions:
1. Can I get EPP's on the storefronts? I can't find anything on the KY laws or CFSA that say for sure that I can do this.
2. If I stop payment on these- does anyone know if the storefronts will work with me? I've never been in this situation before so I am a little lost.
3. I can't suffer criminial action from stopping payment, right? I've looked at the laws and it seems I would be fine but I would like some reassurance.
I'm happy to send them letters telling them that I am revoking authorization but like I said before I don't have enough time and or can't close my account at this juncture.
Any advice would be appreciated at this point. I'm drowning in this!
Thanks in advance....

Stopping a payment is not considered a criminal offense and so you should visit your branch and revoke the ACH authorization from the payday lenders.

If you have defaulted with your payments, there are chances that the storefronts will deal with you to settle your debts. However, it all depends on how you negotiate with them.

Thanks for the responses guys. I know that all three are listed on the CFSA website. I don't know if that means that they will envoke an EPP- I thought I read somewhere on this site that per the laws of KY- they didn't have to do that. I will check though. This site is a godsend! :)
