Who is Security Check, LLC?

Security Check is hired by retailers to collect on NSF checks. I wrote a check to Papa Johns Pizza last year and they automatically sent it to security check - they added $60 fee to a check worth $12.00 so that pizza cost me $72.00....Not sure if they also handle collections for PDLs

sorry, I meant to say Papa Johns automatically sent the check after it didn't clear my bank :)

they wouldn't just collect for Papa Johns..many other retailers/companies would be hiring Security Check to collect on their NSF checks. If you have ever written a check in the past that did not clear your account and you never paid it, could be what they are trying to collect.

I'm not sure. I don't write many checks that's why I thought maybe they are a PDL collector. I still have 2 that call every other day and 1 I haven't heard from in months.

I checked the BBB website and found them to be collection agencies. Their address is 2612 Jackson Avenue W, Oxford, MS 38655.
Since you have their name listed on your credit report, you should immediately send them A DV letter by certified mail and get it validated.

Will do........It's strange though. The original creditor is not listed on the credit report. Anyway, I will be sending my DV right away. Thanks.

The original creditor may or may not report the debt to the bureaus. Since the original creditor listing is not in your credit report, you can remove the negative account completely from your credit report by coming to a pay for deletion agreement with the creditor after getting the debt validated.
