It is up to them to prove that you owe the debt to them....you are not required to send them any ID...you dont have to prove anything to them.

I though so but it's scary to be told that they'll put a warrant out for my arrest. I've asked them for more information on them and who is the company is. They say that the loan is from a Unsecured Internet Loan. And that we had put some items in collateral? The only loan I took out was from World Finance and I put some items in collateral and haven't payed it off yet. They won't comply with any information: not the company name which they are from or address. They call from their cell numbers (832-250-3011, 832-865-1235)

personally, i would not take any of their calls anymore. they are full of it. i would not send them anything of give them anymore information than they already have. they are crooks.
if you are still worried, feel free to contact local law enforecement, they will assure you that they do not arrest people for debts.
i know it is scary to hear threats, but i would just avoid them, they will grow tired of bothering you and sadly, more on to someone else.

Are the calls from a collection agency or a loan company? Tell them to send you a letter on company letterhead stating that you do in fact owe a legitimate debt, with all of the details about that debt. I think I'd also report them to your State Attorney Generals' office. Many of these internet loan companies aren't even located in the United States and there's no way they'll put you in jail.

The next time they call tell them to send you a copy of the original loan contract via USPS mail. Tell them you are not sure its a debt you owe until you see the original contract.
90% of the time on a debt that old they cant produce the original contract. If they cant prove to you the debt is yours, you are not required to pay it.

I got a similar call recently. First of all, they are full of hot air. I have plenty of payday that I keep track of pretty well. I kept getting these crazy messages on my cell and at work that were very threatening. Finally, one day I answered the phone and the man on the other end of the phone was telling me that I took out a loan that I never repaid (BS! I know every penny that I borrowed) and he said that I was going to be arrested, they were going to contact my job, so on so forth.
Anyway, by this point, I am livid and having a full blown shouting match with this man. I kept screaming and laughing at him, because he kept telling me I was going to jail. I kept denying everything (I was determined to win!). Finally, the man hung up on me, and they haven't called me back since.
These people are pure scams, don't worry! Curse them out and move on...lol!
