debt consolidation for pdls

internet or store front?

If you have the time to research and write letters you can do it yourself with interent loans. Storefronts are a bit different. I can tell by glancing at your list that at least a couple of those you listed are illegal.

Most of the loans I am dealing with are storefronts in Texas, is it not worthy my time trying to request EPP's from them? how can I find out if they are illegal?

I am writing C&D letters now, the bank hard froze the account so no more ACHs can come in or out and I am trying to call for addresses for EPP letters, it is not worth it since these are store fronts?

fat cat and resqume. my loans are all internet. the thing is i am busy. busy busy. I looked on BBB and didn't see anything bad about these pdl consolodations, but nothing good either. Nothing at all. But i am in over my head (obviously) and I don't know what to do. any and all advise would be appreciated.

scosta-the first thing you need to do is close your bank account. Sorry. That was the hardest part for me and I fought doing it but in the end its the only way to get control over your money.

Once you get your money secure you can breathe a little easier and take your time. Have you read the sticky on dealing with illegal pdls? If not you should start there. The 13th post down in that thread is a sample letter you can send to the illegal lenders adjusting to your situation.

If you want to research consolidation companies you can search their names in the box on the top right of this page and see what others are saying about them. If you go with a company they will probably tell you to close your account as well.

dorothysdaughter-if you start a new thread your post may get more attenetion. Anyway you don't need to write to request an EPP with a storefront, just go in and ask them, but make sure you do it before you default.

Also make sure you will be able to afford all of the EPP's at once. What it does is take your total due and then divides it into 4 equal bi-weekly payments. So with 5 pdl your payments every 2 weeks will be pretty hefty.

According to California state law, a lender MUST be licensed in California in order to lend into California. A Delaware license will not suffice. So therefore I don't think Eastside Landers is going to be legal in CA.
