Doctor bills and credit cards are two totally different types of credit. With your BB card the interest will continue to accrue even after charge off as it was written into your agreement.

I was hoping that if it was turned over to a collection agency the interest would stop in hopes of being able to pay it off. They sure make it nearly impossible to pay off these high rate cards.

Any suggestions for me? The cc balance is around $4300 and I would love to be able to get this paid down with a lower rate if possible.

The same thing happened to me. I called them right after the interest charges hit and they said they would only charge me 50% of the interest if I paid the bill in full. I could not do that so I was told there was nothing they could do.

So I filed a complaint with the BBB. HSBC refunded me $1000 as a show of "good faith." It helped that I always paid my bill on time, so they cut me a break. Of course, only after I complained. Don't be afraid to use the BBB to your advantage. I have gotten refunds on other products using the BBB. If your account was in good standing before they added the interest, then you may have a shot.

Thanks for the information. The account was always paid on time and in good standing. Is there anything I can do as for as consolidation to lower my interest rate or make payments that will go toward the principle instead of their outrageous interest rates?

It is almost impossible to get a consolidation loan right now. You just got to make bigger payments to something goes to principal.

Anyone familiar with Oak Grove Law Group? I was contacted via email by one of their financial coaches through here Im assuming. They are saying they can help me by contacting my creditors and working something out with them to help with my payments. Anyone have any experience with them and is it worth it?

I have heard of Oak View Law Group which handles Debt Settlement. I know they have a good BBB rating and charge their fees on the back-end. You should do a lot of research on debt settlement before you jump into it.

so is lowes credit card services the same as best buy? that the interest will never stop once turned over?
