I recieved a call from Martinique at PDM 866-504-7548. I was at work so I couldn't really get all the info except this was my paydal loan I had with VIP. I borrowed $500 and paid back $450.
Well I told her I could not talk since I was at work but could call her back when I get off at 5. She also stated that if I do not call her back by 6 she will file all paperwork with the court in my city for wage assignment I think is what she said. She caught me off guard since it has been 2 months since I sent all my letters and stuff.

Should I call her back? What is my next step with this company?

You need to send them a wage revocation letter and also give a copy to your employer. Actually she does'nt have to file that with the court. It is standard in most pdl contracts that they can assign your wages, so all they would have to do is contact your employer-but it is voluntary-so you can revoke it. I think it is just a scare tactic to say they will file it with the court.

Persoanlly I would'nt call and try to avoid talking to them on the phone if at all possible. Tell them you want to keep everything in writing thru email or usps.

It may very well have been included in what you have already sent to them. Its included in the sample letter here. If thats the case you would just need to give a copy of the wage revocation to your employer. Try searching the company name plus email in the search box on the top right of this page and you will probably come up with something.

I attempted to talk with this company and it was a total waste of time. I requested they send a debt validation letter and they actually told me they didn't have to and that I could verify it through my county. When I called them back the next day to ask who in my county they had supposedly sent papers to, they suddenly knew nothing about saying anything about it. I would definitely stick to only sending them a request for debt validation. Speaking with them on the phone is a waste of time. They refused to answer questions, including providing me with their address. I just happened to be able to find this on the internet. I am still waiting to hear back from them after sending a certified letter to them.

ugh!!! this lady just called me again!!!. as so as I picked up the phone I asked her why she was calling me at work she said she had been trying to call my cell phone and not able to get through. Whatever I am sitting right next to it. I got really upset and told her to never call me on my work phone again as a matter of fact not to call me at all. If she needs to contact me to email me whatever she needs. So supposedly she will email me the dunning letter. We shall see.
