In April, I got a PDL from Outback Bucks/Red River Ventures, LLC. Since having the loan put into my bank account, I've had on 2 times, theyve taken more than was originally agreed on (last two times it was $95)! The original amount borrowed was $200/finance=$60. So, if i'm to add that up - that's $190 that's been paid to them, however, they've again taken out another $60. I've called all #s that I got 4 em, which was on the emails/documents, in addition to other #s found for them on here...nothing!I've contacted the BBB, & found out that they are fraudulent, which scares the crap outta me! The fact that they were able to take out more than what was originally documented really bothers me! So they are fraudulent - does that mean that they lended illegally? I've been advised to close my bank acct. If I do this, can't they "come after me"? What's the Iowa laws against this? Any help/advice is much abliged!

In Iowa internet payday lenders are not legal, either because of restrictive laws, or because the state does not license companies not located in that state, but requires a state issued license to lend. Therefore, none of your lenders are licensed to lend to Iowa residents.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

They can't do ANYthing to you in a court of law because Internet loans aren't considered legal in Iowa. We always advocate paying back the principal amount you borrowed. You can pay them back on YOUR terms, I would opt to pay them back via the mail with money orders, this means they would need to give you an address to send payments, I would make sure you make it clear to them, no address, no payments, then let them decide. I am going to give you a link on how to deal with illegal lenders, please make sure you read it thoroughly and follow the steps and you should be alright. Thanks Shazzers...good advice. Only complaint on this company is that I have no way to get into contact with them. I've sent countless emails to their so-called customer service, and the phone numbers provided are fraudulent!

I would like to pay back the principle, but how do i so in my situation. Also, the bank "hard debit" - i talked to my bank earlier today, this only blocks my debit card, not my actual bank acct = they would "burn" my current debit card & issue a new one! I'm not sure exactly what this is, but someone suggested an ACH block.

I also did some researching on BBB - found out that they are working w/the FBI on this company (has many other names too). I'm just worried that if I close my acct, that the company might be able to take me to court - but i wonder how they can, since they are "native american owned, operating on the cheyenne river indian reservation & pursuant to the laws of the cheyenne river sioux tribe..."

Any other suggestions?
