So I sent a debt validation to Atlantic - John P Frye and sent back some list of name, amount, last pmt is all! Also after I had sent it they called me at my work and cell a few times and I kept saying I had sent it but they kept calling! Meanwhile, I researched and discovered they are not even licensed in AZ.

So my question is: Technically I could just send another demand because of the b.s. validation they sent, but they are also not even licensed here. And didn't they break the act by continuing to call after they new a letter was coming? What should I do next?

Thanks for your time

If the collection agency is not licensed in the state of Arizona they are not authorized to collect the debt. If you are sure that they are not licensed, you may send them a Cease and desist letter which will stop them from harassing you. If you want, you may also file a complaint with the FTC online and the State AGs office.
