Somehow, RBT Loans aka PDL Loans aka High Country Loans found my thread on here and is threatening me because I have posted that they gave me a PIF after I did everything I was advised to and that I am now encouraging others to default on their loans. How did they make the connections? I am using different email accounts, etc. And can they do anything to me?

Ms. ******,

Your post that you submitted on the debt consolidation care website and your encouragement to others to do the same thing that you did has been reviewed by our company. Please be aware that we settled your account not out of fear but out of a gesture of courtesy. Any further postings will revoke the settlement and you will be responsible for all balances.

Thank you,

I am not using my real name or the same email account. How did they track me -

LOL if they are cruising this site, then they are lame...LOL! I have heard of this happening before by other members.

Did you sign a release letter with them? Also did they attach the post they are referring too? This can be another scare tactic. Maybe you sent them something with this webstit attached to it.

If you haven't signed a release letter then you are not obligated for anything I would say. There are some PDL companies that are making consumers sign an release letter in trade for a PIF.

I think they may have bored employee googling their name and trying to find things to nail people on. I suggest changing your username or just register with another account so you are not stalked.

Oh for heavens sake!!!! Don't these PDL"s have anything better to do than try to scare someone. Politely tell them to "PACK SAND" and you will be more than happy to meet them at the Court House in YOUR JURISDICTION!!!! If they are illegal, as I suspect, they won't dare come out of their hole.

If they sent you something in writing stating you were paid in full and they didn't attach any conditions to your being considered paid in full (such as posting here), I can't see how they could "revoke the settlement". Tell 'em to take a long walk off a short pier.

Let's think for a second...

Many of you are saying "they can't do that"!! Well, they disregard the licensing requirements for states, so I would assume that they can revoke a Settle In Full.

I would still like to see the old thread to see what was there for them to tie her to...

i am sure it happens a lot and people are too scared to mention it here. i still will not reveal the company because it is not worth it to me to have the harrasssment start over (by the way, i overpaid this particular company!)
i am sure that by now they all know our form letters.

If the OP signed no release letter and the company has no documented proof of him/her being liable for them loosing business, which is Illegal anyway. Tell them they can go pound sand!

They can revoke a settlement if they want, but they will not get a damn penny more from me with that scare tactic. There is no documentation provided here but a threatning email which has no substantial evidence of the OP ever posting anything derrogatory about their company.

Sounds like hogwash. Like I said change your name or register another account. That should take care of your ILLEGAL PDL stalkers

i agree, that is actually how i got "caught". they sent me an email that was actually quite funny and they found where i showed it to everyone here. lol
this is just to stop the needless drama though, they cannot really do anything about it, but this just might make your life easier.
