I am current on my bills with all my creditors--No baddies for the past 6/7yrs but in a bind right now.
I spoke to them but they will not reduce my interest or the debt.

Stop paying for a month or 2, they will offer you all kinds of great deals.

I want to stop paying but, fearful that my credit will be ruined.I now it will..I have been excellent for the past 8-10 yrs--never late etc..

I will take your advise and stop paying for 2-3months. If the deal they offer does not work I will get a debt settlement company.

It is great that you made an attempt to have them lower your interest, because it shows good faith on your behalf. They refused to work with you and have basically forced you into a corner, so I would also not pay until they work with you on a feasible payment plan that suits YOUR budget.

Your credit should be OK if it is only a month or 2 before you can work out a payment plan.
