Date: Wed, 08/05/2009 - 17:23
My truck was paid off last december and capitol one finance released interest in the vehicle and sent me the dmv paperwork and it was notarized by a california notary, last december. However I keep getting calls from capitol one saying I owe $2,400 in late fee's and they will settle for $1,500.How are they legally entitled to any more money from me if they have released interest in the vehicle that the loan was for?thanks

I've have issues with capitol one auto finance to. They have stated on numrous occassions that i am two months behind. stating that i've missed payments which is in consistant, simply because ive made double payments on many different occasions. But what i'm finding to be miss leading is when in ausgust they stated that i was two months behind so I made the current payment and an additional payment, well in the same month they stated that i was now thirty days behind. In the first part of sept. before that months due date they stated that i was back to being two month behind. it as though they're deleting payments and extending the loan term. to this day they're still saying I am two months behind which isnt true.
