zombie collectors!
This company claims to have bought a 13 year old debt from snother company in my name. THis is illegal collecting even if I actually owed it. the statute of limitations ran out years ago

Actually they can attempt to collect it as long as you are alive
Actually they can attempt to collect it as long as you are alive. They just cannot put it on your credit report nor sue you, i.e. they cannot pursue enforcement. All they can do is ask pretty please. Send them a Cease & Desist letter.
