Creditor saying I didn't pay

Long story short, I did pay, the payment is posted on my account as of July 27th. We had the bank on the phone way and the bank told them that.
Even after that happened they kept calling me a liar and when I said I wanted to file a complaint, the lady started yelling at me, yes, yelling, saying that how was I going to complain for a debt that I have since March (payday loan) and I told her the debt had been paid. They said all their calls are recorded to which I added "did you record when I called you back?" and they kept telling me I have not returned their calls nor have I paid (even after we all spoke to my bank on 3 way and the bank confirmed the payment posted)
How can I complaint and can they still take action (threatening with going to my place of employment!!) if the debt is paid in full?

What I would do is make sure you have all the paper work from your bank stating that you did pay in full. Tell them you have all the information and would gladly send them copies. If they start calling you a liar, that is harrassment.
If I were you, the next time they called I would state my case, the facts and tell them to stop harrassing you. I would call the phone number back and try to speak to someone in charge instead of the people they are paying to get you nervous about things.
It may just be that it hasn't been posted in their computers yet too. I would try to talk to someone in charge and if they take you to court...you have all the documentation proving you paid.
I've never personally had a problem with someone that had wrong information, but I think that you need to take a stand with this company. Also, I would talk to someone about the laws on harrassment. If you tell them not to call your workplace, i don't think by law that they can.

The problem is that we had the bank on the phone and my bank verified the payment posted. They still called me a liar and when I asked to speak to someone else they just started yelling at me and the lady told me "just fax your bank statement and take care of your issue"... I was honestly very mad bnecause it's not MY issue, it's THEIR mistake and they cannot call me a liar when I know I talked to them before, etc.
I refuse to send them anything as proof this is paid for when we already ALL spoke to the bank rep.
Would I get in trouble if I don't send them the info?

Did you call back. I have had this happen before with SprintPCS, and when I spoke with a different person, they were more than reasonable, and dealt with the problem before the call was ended. You may have to send them something. Legally, speaking with the bank will not be a valid defense. You need a paper trail. Without it, they can deny that they spoke with anyone, and mark you as refusing to pay. And like it or not, it will end up being your issue. Until they have proof of payment, they will show it as an unpaid bill.
Best to deal with it now, than later.

Can they still take further action if I refuse to send them a bank statement? I shouldn't have to send it to them because it has other information in there that it none of their business.

I called the FTC because I can't leave this alone. I am very mad that they are calling me a liar and literally yelling to me over the phone when this is already paid for and THEY gave me a receipt number on the 24th of last month.

I just called them and spoke to someone else. They keep telling me to fax this and that. I told them I was not doing such a thing that I would send this certified mail and to give me an address. He then got defensive and I told him that I had nothing against him because this was my first time talking to him but that his company kept saying that I didn't call, I didn't pay, I didn't this and I didn't that, when I did everything.
I forgot to tell him not to contact me at work or anything, but he did tell me the account showed on hold.
I really don't know what else to do, this has me very P*d off

OK, RELAX. You having a three way call with the bank and the CA is not really proof unless the CA called the bank with a number that they obtained independent of you. Because youcould have given them your friends number and play pretend or called your friend and played pretend.
The CA is going to need proof that is undeniable like a bank statement showing that they debited your account.
I know there is a principle involved but your hassles will end faster by just sending them the document.
